Spanish Dancer is found in a group of galaxies down there called the Dorado Group.
This gravitationally bound collection of galaxies travels through the universe together.
The dominant member of the Dorado Group is the Spanish Dancer itself.
This sculpture is inspired by historical influences as a native of Colombia. We were a former Spanish colony that conquered the indian lands where the leyend of el Dorado originted.
This sculpture has a lot of the purple reflections and also imbeded gold leaf in the edge of the spiral with a lot of crystals and shells creating a connection of microcosmos to recreate a gallaxy.
